Legendary blue holes can be found all over Andros, with more than 50 of them recorded. The Blue Holes National Park, housed on some 40,000 acres, was established in 2002 to protect and preserve these very important natural wonders of the world. Its boundaries include a large number of blue holes and freshwater reservoirs, in addition to areas of pine and coppice forests surrounding them.
