Eddie Minnis is a well-known artist, singer, and songwriter in The Bahamas. He specializes in oil paintings on canvas using the palette knife. He is primarily a landscape artist, with a background in architecture. His landscapes and seascapes are strikingly threedimensional in appearance and vibrate with the bright colours and light of The Bahamas. His paintings often feature the quaint colonial structures of our islands, particularly Eleuthera and Harbour Island in North Eleuthera, where he has been living since 1990. Eddies website features his original paintings and giclee reproductions on canvas, in addition to the work of his daughters Nicole and Roshanne; plus his Pot Luck cartoons with Granny B and Fleabag (her dog), reflective of his tenure as a cartoonist for local newspapers for over a decade. He also has 11 calypso albums to his credit, five of which are available for purchase online, plus note cards and paper lithographs depicting his artwork.
