Members of the South Andros Handicraft Manufacturing Association (SAHMA) produce a large variety of bags made from what is referred to locally as Coconut Leather (fibers from the coconut leaf sheath), along with straw creations, shell craft, coconut craft, handmade jewelry, hair clips, scarves, and Tshirts. Their Authentically Bahamian gift shop at the Congo Town Airport is a great place to get those lastminute souvenirs and you wont be disappointed with the items to choose from.
