Mrs. Lisa Racquel Anderson is a seasoned and effective leader with a career spanning over 20 years of service in both the public and private sector. Mrs. Anderson spent 10 years in the offshore banking industry, working with various banking institutions in The Bahamas. She subsequently transitioned to the public service where she leveraged her experience gained in the private sector to facilitate organizational reform in various government ministries.

In 2008, Mrs. Anderson began her tenure at the Ministry of Education, where would serve as Deputy Administrator for the Scholarship Division. In 2017, she was appointed to the Ministry of National Security as Deputy Permanent Secretary, a post which she occupied from 2017 to 2021. During this period, she did a 6-month stint as Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, where she lent her medical expertise in the fight against Covid-19. Upon completion of her short tenure at the Ministry of Health, she returned to the Ministry of National Security.

Mrs. Anderson served in the post of Acting Undersecretary in other government institutions, such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cabinet before returning to the Ministry of Education in 2022 where she took oversight of various departments. In January 2024, she was officially confirmed as an Undersecretary.

In February of 2024, Mrs. Anderson was appointed to the post of Undersecretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Investments & Aviation.

Mrs. Anderson prioritizes understanding the goals and objectives of the institutions for which she works in order to provide staff with the appropriate support and assistance for the tasks at hand. She aims to improve the overall functioning of the institutions of which she is a part and ensure that those around her are equipped with the skills and resources to exceed expectations.

She holds an MBA from Lee University with an emphasis in Accounting, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of The Bahamas and is a registered nurse.

She is married to Briceston Anderson, and they are the proud parents of four sons and one daughter.
