Just south of Surfers Beach is Hatchet Bay Cave. The cave is one mile long and filled with stalagmites and stalactites, which take on the appearance of underground cathedrals in torch light. Centuriesold graffiti of charcoal signatures line the walls. It is recommended to tour the cave with a guide.
