Our unique Bahamian experience is a must-see attraction that will take you back to a time when people enjoyed the simpler things in life: there was great community spirit through caring, sharing, and hard work, and the entire village helped to bring up the children. On display are a number of cultural and historical artifacts, some of which are over 100 years old. You'll see aspects of our rich heritage and get a firsthand view of The Bahamas of yesteryear. Children can learn about our heritage and adults can reconnect with the past. Ms. Symonette's philosophy is, 'if you don't know where you come from, you don't know where you're going'.

Our extensive complex offers several one-of-a-kind spaces that can be used for whatever events you are planning. They include:

• The Art Studio & Gallery, featuring original Bahamian Art by Nettie Symonette.The onsite Restaurant and Bar, serving lunch and dinner.The Bahamian Heritage Centre, which is ideal for cultural weddings and other private gatherings; evening functions can also be arranged upon request.Our ballroom space, which can host meetings and other business functions.Nettie's Cultural Retreat, incorporating our museum and outdoor space with lounge area, local wildlife, and a gallery of native trees and herbs.
